My name is Makayla Ruffin, and I am 15 years old. am a fun, motivated young lady who is learning more about myself every day. Some of my favorite things to do are playing softball, doing my makeup, and spending time with the people I love. Softball haS taught me how to stay focused, work hard, and be part of a team, while doing my makeup allows me to express my creativity and confidence. One of the most important parts of my life is going to church with my family, because it helps guide me and reminds me to stay true to my values. 

I am proud to be a part of Dream Girls because it is helping shape me into a stronger, more confident, and respectful young African-American woman. Being in this program has taught me the importance of self-respect, leadership, and carrying vself with grace. Dream Girls encourages me to believe in myself, recognize my worth, and understand that true beauty comes from within. It has helped me grow not only as a young lady, but also as a role model for others. 

As part of my Dream Girls journey, I am preparing for my Gala Debutante Presentation, "Vessels of Honor, which will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2026. This is a very special moment for me, and I am excited to celebrate this milestone with my family, friends, and community. To help make this event possible, I am asking for sponsors to support the upcoming souvenir book that will be presented at the gala.
